Saturday, January 11th 10:00 am - 12:00 pm $15 per person In the Art Garage Adult class - Minimum age 13 Do you want to learn basic mending and hand sewing skills in order to repair your clothes and other home textiles? Learning to mend empowers you to save money, keep textiles out of the landfill and take excellent care of things you love! Join avid maker and mender Elizabeth Buckingham for this fun two-hour hands-on workshop that will teach you basic mending skills, including replacing buttons, zipper repair, visible mending and more! Participants will work on their own projects during class, learning basic mending and repair skills and transforming an everyday chore into a personal art form. Please note: this class is focused exclusively on hand sewing and mending and does not include any time or instruction on sewing machines.
