Incorporating Abstract Realism in Acrylic Painting with Jean Stortz May 3rd | 11:00am - 3:00pm Registration Fee: $40 Material Fee: $30 paid to the instructor Minimum Age: 15 Using the principles of Design, Value and Color, participants will combine Abstraction and Realism to create a cohesive artwork. Acrylics and other media will be applied on 2-12 x12 plywood substrates. You’ll be preparing the plywood substrates for painting: Sealing, Priming, & Sanding. Some realistic nature images will be available for reference or bring your own. We will have a conversation about painting your authentic self. Consider which images speak to you. What do you love? What are your favorite colors? Consider your personal expression. What is a YES and what is a NO? NOTE: Class will be held in the Art Garage. Please Park in the GMAEC parking lot next to the Art Garage. Bring a snack/lunch and drink with a lid, if you wish. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to settle in and place your personal items under the table and receive a name tag and pay the material fee.
