Mistletoe Pete, a gun slinger and magician,   steps off the Cedarberry-Austin  stage into a complicated scene of  ranch rights and a horse herd dispute between two step brothers. Jake McCann returns after 8 years in the army to claim the ranch, but his stepbrother Bobby Aretine has different ideas.  Jakes mother Helen takes a shine to Mistletoe Pete but isn’t sure about being his assistant in having the apple shot off her head.   One of the can can girls has gone can cun and the beauty Hadley has her own ideas about what Jake should do.  Fannie Sioux Sue is building  cases for broken wheel spokes out of her attorney office at the Puddle which just started pouring a new beer, Spock Bock.  Captain  Kirk has taken a real shine to it, especially since Princess Leia is bartending at the Puddle.
